Alright, let me start off by saying I booked this cruise for my husband and I as a quick much needed getaway and we had a blast, but couldn't help but compare to other cruises we've been on! Still it was worth giving NCL a try! I would cruise them again on a short cruise, not so much for a 7 day or longer.

Embarkation and Disembarkation were both a breeze! We parked the car checked in and were ont he ship in about 10 minutes. We got there around 12:30. Coming home we got off the ship at 8:30 in the morning, cleared customs, got our luggage and made it to the car in about 5 minutes!! NCL has it down pat in these areas.

We had an oceanview cabin which was a decent size and the room was clean, however the bathroom was the smallest I'd ever been in! (I've been on RCI and CCL) The shower was barely big enough to turn around in, but it was functional. Be careful when you turn the water on, the hot & cold were reversed and the water gets ice cold or scalding hot. Take your time to adjust the temp. before you get in. Also, you better pack light! There were 3 tiny drawers that were smaller than my sock drawer at home, yikes! Still we made do, it was not the end of the world. The bed was hard as a rock but our wonderful cabin steward put a thick mattress pad on the bed for us and it helped immensely!
