We went on the NCL Star to Alaska and this was our first cruise ever. Oh, what a wonderful time we had. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Embarkation: Since we are from the Seattle area, we just drove at 11 am and were at Pier 66 in 30 minutes. We were in a short Q for scanning the bags and then another Q to get to an NCL agent. Our pictures were taken and we got out ID cards. We were on the ship in 30 minutes. The process was efficient.

Ship: Being first time cruiser we had no expectations and were blown away by the facilities. The Star has a beautiful theater (Stardust), cinema hall, library, card room, basket ball court, two golf cages, ping pong tables, numerous hot tubs, water splash area and a couple of pools. The Gym is excellent.
