This was My husband and i first time ever on a cruise and honeymoon that we never had. We live in the tampa area so we did not need hotels. just drove 2 hours and were there. First must say we left on july 19 and am writing this kinda late because was waiting to see if carnival ever got back to me about the 2 bags of souvenirs we had bought for our kids were ever recovered from our stateroom. Yes we were at fault for leaving them there but thought there would be a honest employee maybe would turn them in since he probably goes to those islands all the time and can get those things himself. but yes i was sick about it.But called carnival as soon as i got home and told them what had happened and they said if they were found that they would mail them to us. well carnival never called me i called them about 10 times. I think they could've at least had some better customer service.
We did have a inside cabin and was terrible not knowing if it was day or night so we woke up at all hours wondering if we had slept in or not. and there is no clock to look at so if you can at least get a window. will make a difference... So the cruise itself was Great! The munster drill was a drag since you can not bring your drink that you just spent $10 for that was a little upsetting but then we were off and sailing. First stop Nassau bahamas. now I had read these reviews before we went and learned alot but oh no still made the mistake and did a tour of the island from the mobs of tour guide dying to sell you a ride in there car well for 25.00 we thought what could it hurt! well we seen parts of the bahamas that i could've went without seeing rather have stayed at the beach and drank 20.00 all you can drink rum punch. found out about that later so just take a cab over to paradise beach and it's a beach day because the water in my opinion is better than st. thomas and st Maarten and your not at this port but for 4 hours anyway!
ST THOMAS- we did an excursion took a catamaran to this island and went snorkeling. The snorkeling was not that good. but than again this was my husband and i first time so we were not at all involved in it But, the all you can drink rum punch was very nice worth the 50.00 a person we had paid so again should have just went to the beach. DO YOUR SHOPPING THERE IN ST. THOMAS it is so much better than st Maarten. ST Maarten - here we did just take a cab and went to orient beach it was beautiful! a must see. did a little shopping and found this place where there is 99 cent beers. spent alot of time there lol.
