Sail Date: Aug 2008

I cruised with Carnival Destiny the week of August 24, 2008. I traveled with a friend and was surprised to see children on the boat so late in the summer. I loved waking up everyday to see a different island. It was amazing! I couldn't imagine not paying for a balcony with so many ports on the trip.

This trip was my first cruising experience. I was satisfied with Carnival overall. Our steward and waiter team at dinner were great. Our room was always clean. Dinner was ok overall. Our team headwaiter was second to none. There were some hits and misses on the meals themselves. I would be more inclined to choose a higher line cruise. The other cruisers were loud and unprofessional at times. I would pay the price for a quieter cruise next time.

Magen's Bay in St. Thomas and Marigot Bay in St. Lucia were the best beaches of all the ports I visited. The best excursion by far was Cosol Tour in St. Lucia. Cosol was our tour guide and he was knowledgeable about his country. The food and drinks were outstanding especially the coconut cake! The price was very fair. The Flavor of Barbados excursion was quite enjoyable. I would revisit St. Thomas, St. Lucia and Barbados.
