So, my wife and I just got back from our honeymoon cruise on the Inspiration going to Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

We stayed at the Howard Johnson Downtown Tampa. We loved this hotel due to the fact that they shuttled us to the port from the hotel. They will shuttle you anywhere within 2 miles. We made it to the port and began the embarkation procedure. We got to the counter and the printer that prints your Sail and Sign card had broken. The nice lady working the counter put us so that we were 1st to board the ship so that we would not have to wait in line at the purser's desk to get our sail and sign cards. That was great; we got on the ship and had our cards within 5 minutes.

Once on board, we were in awe. We were 1st time cruisers. It amazed us both that something that big and complex and beautiful could float! We then went on our own tour of the boat. We first got a drink and headed to the serenity area on the back of the boat. This was one of our favorite spots on the whole ship. You gotta be over 21 to go back there and the best part is that there is NO KIDS ALLOWED! This was great because there were over 600 kids on board. Then we went to the Lido deck. We were very disappointed with the pool. It was so small. And there was only 1 pool on the whole ship! We never really got to enjoy the pool because it was always full of people. 1 pool for over 2000 cruisers is a little sad. We then went to eat lunch at the Brasserie. The food was OK, but nothing to write home about. We hung around the pool until it was time for the muster drill. The drill went very smoothly. For the rest of the day we just relaxed in the sun and drunk several of the "fun ship drink specials." They were toooooooo good.
