Let me begin by saying that this was not our first cruise. My wife and I have been on numerous cruises before but mainly with Royal Caribbean and Holland America.

Our overall cruise experience was satisfactory but not to the point where we will cruise with Carnival again. The food and the crew (for the most part) were helpful and courteous. The same goes with the late shows and comedians. Both met our expectations and did a stellar job.

The main issue we had with the Carnival ship was the lack of adult only pool areas. We were informed that the ship had such an area, but the cruise staff did not enforce the rules, and as such there was absolutely no pool areas to relax in. We love children and have one of our own, but with other cruise lines there's always been a nice pool area for adults to get away from the madness of children.
