Background Information: My wife and I are both 44 years old and don't look or act our age. We still like to party and have a good time while out on vacation. Our kids are 14 and 12 both boys. This was our 4th cruise as a family and 1st with Royal Caribbean. We had been cruising with Carnival in the past and we were doing the pros and cons all the time between the two cruise lines. I am comparing the two so this may be long winded.

The Enchantment of the Seas was not the biggest ship we have been on but not the smallest either. We felt as though the layout of the ship was not very smooth and did not have a good flow to it. There were times when we wanted to get to the other side of the casino but had to walk through it to get where we wanted to go. Okay for adults but did not think it was a good idea for younger kids to have to endure the smoke and older crowds in the casinos. On Carnival there is a walk way that goes by the casino without having to be inside of it.

Activities: If you have cruised before you pretty much know what to expect in regards to activities. Bingo, dance Classes (which we did take part of). SPA services, Pool games. Belly Flop contest. Take note there is no water slide into the pool on the Enchantment. Something that all the Carnival Ships we cruised on have. the kids did miss out on the waterslide, so did the wife and I. They do have a Solarium Pool area for adults only. More like Senior Citizens Only. When the wife and I hung out in the Solarium Pool it was full of older drunk people.
