This was our second cruise on the Glory. Our party consisted of me, my husband, and my 16 year old son. Overall, we had a wonderful time on the Glory. Yes, there are newer, fancier ships out there with lots of cool activities, and maybe we will try that the next time. But we had a fabulous time on the Glory.
First of all, I have to mention the Cruise Director, Butch Begovich. He was the nicest, funniest, most energetic, talented, and entertaining Cruise Director ever. A true gem for Carnival.
The food was overall good. There were a couple of dinners in the dining room that I wasn't too crazy about, but overall, the food was fine. The waitstaff and service were fine, too. With 3000 people on board, I think they did a good job. For entertainment, we enjoyed most of the shows, although we did not care for all of the Bingo you had to sit through in order to have good seats for the shows. I would have liked to do a little gambling in the casino, but it was just way too smoky. Our cabin was a category 12 suite with balcony on the 7th floor. By the way, the 7th floor is great because it is sandwiched between two cabin floors, so you avoid the noise from the Lido deck (deck 9) and the noise from the disco (deck 5). Anyway, the decor in our room was a bit dated, but it was roomy and clean with a big bathroom.
