After reading some of the previous reviews. I was convinced I had made a mistake booking the Norwegian Sky, instead of another ship on Royal Caribbean or Disney. I contacted Norwegian's customer service line twice to make sure some of the issues were taken care of, and I was assured that all of the issues had been taken care of and everything would be great. Even so, -- honestly, I was preparing for the worst and told my daughter, a first-time cruiser, that I apologize in advance if this trip was a bust.
All of my fears were totally unfounded! Embarkation was very easy -- plenty of agents at the terminal. Refreshments were served in the terminal. We were greeted with champagne when entering the very nice atrium lobby, where we spent some time listening to music and people watching until our staterooms were ready.
The atrium lobby and surrounding areas were very nice and cozy -- and it was easy to find everything on the ship once you got your bearings.
Cabin was in a perfect spot, we were about two staterooms from one of the stairways, which we decided to use instead of the elevators most of the time. Noise from cabins next door was very faint -- and actually less than noise from cabin on Disney cruise I took last year. Good size closet with dresser drawers, refrig, stocked with drinks. Very pleased with room location. Beds very comfortable, crisp linens that felt good after a day in the sun. Thermostat in your cabin lets you adjust your own temperature.
