I have to say that I was expecting just a tad bit more "wow factor" but overall this ship is AMAZING. The biggest complaints I have is the Liberty is impossible to get around, the Lido deck (pool area) is super crowded, and next time we will not have 3 days at sea. Two days at sea is plenty by the third you have kind of "been there and done that." I may sound like I don't know what I think of the cruise but it was an experience of a lifetime, I was expecting a little more glitz and glam but I have too high expectations anyway. My husband was super pleased and the GOOD outweighed the BAD. The ship was super clean and the staff was amazing. Although the Lido(Pool) deck was overcrowded, I was surprised at how spread out the crowds were. WE rarely ever felt too crowded. The lines look long but they went really fast. The biggest compliment to Carnival is the staff! These people actually care and they get to know you. Carnival's shore excursions are also not what you hear for the better. Out of 3 excursions, only one was overcrowded. The other 2 were worth every penny and were very small and intimate groups. I highly recommend to book your excursions before you get on the boat. Eventhough they have a lot left over, it gets stressful and confusing to wait to the last minute. IN COZUMEL, we did they three reef snorkeling and this operator was the best I have ever experienced. There were only 15 of us and the tour guide was hilarious. The water was so blue and the snorkel gear was modern and not the cheap stuff.
Everyone does Dolphin Cove in Jamaica and I was apprehensive because it was so popular but it is also worth it. There is a lot to do in that area and they have buses and guides at Dolphin Cove that take you to the falls and shopping.
Grand Cayman was the most beautiful but the tour operators were the WORSE. WE booked Rum Point Beach and STingray City (AMAZING) which we loved but Kellys tours did not even compare to the other two excursions. IT was way too short and the operator was not exactly overly friendly. As far as the SHIP goes. We heard so many rave reviews on Harrys Super Club, which it was amazing but for someone that really doesn't know the difference between those cuts of meat and the most expensive wine then it is something we could have skipped. There were 2 places on the ship that we didn't really discover until the very end. The Piano Bar is a lot of fun!!!!! It is a little more laid back but everyone sings, and there is the least amount of kids in there.
