In summary we had a great cruise and were very happy with the Century; that is not to say everything was perfect as I will highlight below, but it was all minor annoyances only and certainly not detractors from the overall experience. We are 50 somethings from the UK who have now got 10 Celebrity cruises under our belts! We had a good cruise critic crowd on board and whilst we did not structure a lot of get togethers we did all keep meeting up in any event!

Pre cruise We made our own arrangements and arrived in Amsterdam two days before the cruise began. We stayed at Banks Mansions and can highly recommend this hotel. It is a converted Bank overlooking a canal and is situated midway between Dam Square and the Museum district. This made it ideal for getting around. Rooms are typically Dutch, small but individual and you are not in a "wherever in the world it's the same" type hotel. Major plus is that all breakfasts, nibbles and drinks (alcoholic and other) movies and internet access are included in the price. The hotel staff are wonderful and as reception is beside the lounge area they pop over and chat with you and help you with plans and generally take an interest.

We used the Hotel Connexions shuttle bus to get in from the airport - not a great experience in our case as the driver got arrested for a flagrant traffic breach during the journey, but that is a tale for another day!!

Cabin Review

Cabin SS

1206 good location, nice balcony and the right sideof the ship for this trip (ie view North Cape at 6am from balcony, no need to dress and go on deck)
