Everyone has said that the Alaska cruise was The One to take. We took it to celebrate our eighth wedding anniversary and to see eagles. I am glad to say that both were accomplished. As we waited to retrieve our luggage at the Seattle airport we could see the representatives from Princess roaming the airport to be of assistance. They gave very simple but precise info. Being able to put your bags in one place so quickly and be directed straight to a bus was very pleasurable. The check in was painless with lots of tips to make it even easier "next time". Our introduction to the ship was awesome. It was not crowded entering which gave us some great photo opportunities. It was obvious that staff were well trained and well at ease with assisting people to their rooms. The room was ready for us and because we were already on the Lido found our new friend "Buffet". Having a balcony made everything "Personal". Meals and photo taking was excellent from this vantage point. We found the food very good and the choices even better. Juneau was very interesting and the tour guides were full of interesting information. We thought the sky ride would be longer. There was a lot of free samples of salmon in the market place. Every excursion is what you make it. There is lot to see if you just have adventure in you. My favorite was in Ketchikan; Capt. Bob and the two young people he had on board to serve. We saw more than our share of eagles but the info and stories were priceless. Tracy Arm is too beautiful to even begin to try to describe. Make sure you have both still and video cameras. It will all take your breath away. We had been told that the trip the week before had been uncomfortable but I am glad to say we had smooth sailing. The final exit was made easy by having the billing ready for review and setting your luggage by your door. We had a great time because others made everything so easy. We chose Sabatini to celebrate our anniversary. Great choice, great food, & excellent service. They presented us with a cake and sang Happy Anniversary. The romantic atmosphere was perfect.

Cabin Review

If you plan your day correct then your cabin is just for sleeping. A balconey is a must have.
