This is my girlfriends and I third Carnival cruise. We take our G-sons aged 9 and 10 every year. This is my sixth cruise. I have sailed NCL , Celebrity, and Royal Caribbean. My girlfriend sailed Royal and Carnival. This is the boy's third cruise.
Background: We are both teachers with my g-friend being retired. I am a elementary school principal. We take our G-sons on an educational trip every year. We drove from Kansas City to Miami. In Miami we stayed at Extended Stay Hotel on SW 15th. Wonderful!! Joshua was the best. We left the car there without a charge and took the shuttle to the port. Don't use the hotels shuttle service, they will take you to the port but won't pick you up from the port.
Embarkation We arrived at the port at 12:00 and were on the ship by 12:30. Stephanie Flukes in the terminal was a great help. I had given a different credit card number when I signed up for the Sail and sign card online. So the credit card number I had didn't register in the system. She just changed the card. I forgot that I was to print my papers from the computer before I left home so she just took the time to find us in the system and we were on our way. 30 minutes tops!
Cabin had plenty os room for G-son and myself. We did have to rearrange the beds for additional space.
