This was our first cruise with carnival and with our kids. We had been on royal Caribbean and princess in the past and to be honest we were somewhat skeptical of carnival from what we had heard in the past and its previous reputation as a "spring break" cruise line. We were happily misinformed. We found carnival to either meet or exceed (our last rc cruise was subpar) the other lines. The kids club was excellent and kept our kids busy and entertained for almost the entire cruise. . If it were up to the kids they probably would not have left the boat.
Food dining was excellent/ needed slightly more variety of foods on the buffet. Quality still high.
Our cruise on the Glory visited Belize, Roatan Island, Honduras, Cozumel, and Freeport, Bahamas., This was our fifth cruise and we found that booking shore excursions through the boat only guarantees you will pay a much higher price than you need to for the same excursion. It does not necessarily mean a quality excursion. For this cruise we had done advanced research (through boards like these and others) and had done the dolphin encounter at chankannab park in cozumel through the internet we were able to snorkel and do dolphin encounter for same price (cruise price about double for same place without snorkeling).
