Embarkation:

Our 5-night cruise was to begin and end in New Orleans, but a recent oil spill in the Mississippi river moved our embarkation to Mobile, AL. Carnival notified us by phone and e-mail about the change, and bussed all passengers free of charge to and from Mobile, AL. This was an unexpected 2.5 hour trip each way, but was no fault of Carnival. This was a huge undertaking and I thought they handled it well. A boxed lunch was provided on the way to Mobile.

We were a family of 23 including a wheelchair passenger. The busses accommodated her and the ship tries hard to be wheelchair accessible too. Some doorways have bottom framing strips that are difficult for wheelchair travel; but elevators are plentiful and the cabin was fitted to help the passenger with special needs.

Cabin Review

Cabin E

Great room at the front of the ship. Good closet space, great bathroom, not too noisy, because of less foot traffic in the front. Great location to Launderette and Steward Station. Also on the same deck are Information and the Excursion desks, and the great Atrium!
