Hi my dw and I just returned from our 26 year anniversary trip to Hawaii. Being able to see 4 different islands was wonderful and Hawaii is gorgeous!

Pre-cruise - we spent 5 days at the beautiful Hale Koa Hotel (military) on Waikiki beach. The room was nothing to write home about but the location and the whole resort was great. Things we did while on the island of Oahu - a visit on the first morning to Pearl Harbor (excellent memorial) .. Kos Hummer "Lost" tour (surprise for my dw and she loved it) .. Paradise Air powered hang gliding over the north shore (great if you are looking for something exciting and different) .. golf at the Kaneohe Marine Base on the eastern side of Oahu (poor mans Pebble Beach .. right on the ocean) .. and a visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center (Horizon show was awesome and if you are not interested in the Luau do the Ambassador Prime Rib buffet instead .. it includes seafood also and was delicious)

Cruise - embarkation we arrived at about 1 pm (probably the worst time) and it took over an hour in line to get onboard. (tip - get there early or late and it should be better) Read more
