Sail Date: Jul 2008

My spouse and I took our first cruise with Princess on the Grand Princess for a 12 day cruise of the British Isles July 2008. Our cabin was on the 10th level, Caribe, near the elevators. Our friends were in the room next door and our balconies had a small door that we had opened so we could visit. Our room was a little tired but clean. There was a strong odor from the shower drain that lasted for 5-6 days and our steward tried to fix. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work and never got fixed. We got tired of complaining and said to just forget it "we were on vacation" and had spent enough of our time on this matter. We signed up for "anytime dining" and after 4 days switched to 8:30pm Baldaccio room dining. We like this better for dinner as it was sit down and not the buffet. Overall the food on the ship was fine. All the staff was friendly. I enjoyed watching the am TV show produced by the staff as the information was helpful for excursions and ship activities. We will cruise again someday and choose a newer ship.
