This was my first cruise and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I had heard about other cruise lines before but never about NCL. Me and three other friends found this cruise through a local newspaper and were all very excited to be going to Hawaii. We flew into Honolulu and transportation was provided for us from the airport to the ship through the company we booked it through, which was very convenient.

Our first night on the cruise was very boring. It seems that not much goes on at night and throughout the week the entertainment was very poor, except for the comedian. This is definitely not a fun ship like I had expected, having heard how much fun Carnival cruises were. I read a review that the cruise would include mostly newlyweds or "almost dead" couples, and I found that this definitely was the case. Being that I am in my mid 20's I was really expecting a lot more of a fun and exciting nightlife on the ship. Some bars were closed during the evening and it seemed hardly anybody was out past 10 pm. I did have one fun night on the ship singing karaoke, but that was the only fun night on the ship.I though there would be more live band entertainment. I am not sure how much drinks cost on other cruises, but I feel ours were extremely expensive.

There were a few occasions where I needed to go to the finance department to put money into my account, and there was nobody there to help me. When i asked someone else at the desk, they said just to wait there that they were eating supper. I thought that was a little rude and thought that person probably could have at least asked what I needed to see if they were able to help. This was very frustrating because I could not use my card to purchase anything aboard until someone would help me. I did encounter a gentleman one day in finance that was very helpful.
