We are just back from Enchantment. Overall, it was a great cruise. The crew are almost universally outgoing and helpful, which contributes to a great "mood" on the ship. There were a couple of minor negatives, but nothing that would keep me from sailing on her again. This was my 17th cruise, and 7th with RCI. We're in our early-mid 40's. I've sailed Voyager Class, Radiance Class, Vision Class and Sovereign Class ships from RCI.

EMBARKATION - We live in Fort Lauderdale, and while I always hope to get to the port before noon, it's usually closer to 1 or 1:30. The upside to this is that usually the first rush is over and the lines are short. Not this time. We must have arrived just after the buses pulled up, because usually at 1pm ish, we sail into the terminal and check in. This day there was a huge line that stretched out the door. We dropped off our bags and I waited in line while my partner parked ($15/day). Thankfully, the line moved efficiently from outside, into an upstairs waiting area. Then we were seated and taken in groups through security and then finally into the check in area. It took about 30 minutes to get from outside to the check in area. Thanks to Platinum status, once we got to check in, we whisked right through and on board. The regular check in line was pretty long at that point.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS - It's funny, but Majesty of the Seas seems like a much newer ship than Enchantment, and of course it is much older. The refurbishment on Majesty was really great, and the refurbishment on Enchantment did not seem to give that same total make-over feel. Parts of the cabin seemed really worn, and there really does not seem to be enough seating in Windjammer. Plus on Majesty they added so many more options for lunch and snacks. (But really, no one can possibly go hungry on any cruise ship.)
