This was my first cruise on Royal Caribbean. I have previously traveled on Princess, Carnival, Costa and Celebrity. I was eager to see what RCI had to offer that was different.

We flew to San Juan from Dulles, Virginia on the day of embarkation. We booked an early flight to be safe. There were no delays and no drama. Grabbed a cab from the airport in San Juan for $20 plus a couple extra for baggage and tip.

Embarkation was fine. We didn't have some forms ready for them so we had to sit down and take care of that. Gave them our credit card, they gave us a shot of some Bacardi pina colada and we entered the Adventure of the Seas.
