Traveled with children

We traveled with a group of 12 cruisers, some seasoned, some on their first cruise. It was to celebrate my father's 75th birthday. Arrival was great, we were pulled out of line because we had small children, and was on the ship within 30 minutes. Our cabin was small (an interior one) but clean and comfortable. Our steward, Antonio, was FABULOUS, and he took time out wherever he was to greet and visit with out children. He addressed every need we had and even anticipated some.

The food was good, particularly in the dining room. Our wait staff was attentive and friendly. The buffet was "ok". Not terribly impressed, but it sufficed for breakfast and lunch. The grill and pizza bars were good and a nice change. We were surprised and disappointed that ice cream was not free.

The entertainment was pretty good, with the exception of the mediocre "production shows." The San Juan cultural entertainment was great, and the comic entertaining, if not terribly appropriate for kids. the biggest problem with all of the entertainment was getting a seat. The venues are pretty small for the number of guests, and early arrival for shows was a MUST. Loved the international cruise show - some nice talent on board!
