We had a party of 8 sail on the Valor July 6, ages 17, 18, 21, 22, 46, 47, 50, 51. Overall we had a good experience. Embarkation was easy although we stood in lines for 20-30 minutes - not bad in my opinion. We had inside cabins which seemed small at first, but we had plenty of room to store things and move around. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner!!! They only give you shampoo and it is BAD! No other complaints about cabin. We barely saw our cabin steward but he did a great job of making up our room twice a day and made us the cute towel animals. The food on the Valor was the biggest surprise and the service was the best surprise! The dining room food was very good and always plentiful. Our waiter made sure to let us know if we wanted more, just let him know. On lobster night, her brought 2 extra plates without us even asking! He was very funny and entertaining and we loved him - Ketut is the BEST! The entertainment was pretty good. We enjoyed the comedians, juggler, hypnotist, etc. The dancers were OK. We enjoyed all the ports. Did not book any excursion with Carnival. I prebooked on the internet. I booked with Captain Charles in Grand Cayman and they seem to be a part of Captain Charles. Had a small sail boat with our 8 plus 3 others. Very nice. We swam with sting rays and then coral gardens. Disappointed in coral gardens--not colorful and not alot of fish. Overall, it was a nice excursion--very relaxing and enjoyed the boat. Roatan--we booked with Victor Bodden and had a private driver for our group. We did the Jungle Canopy Zipline ---LOVED IT!! Now we're ready for extreme ziplining. If you're unsure about ziplining--try Jungle Canopy and then go for the extreme! It was so much fun--16 lines and easy to do. Not too far up and not real long lines. Then we went to Victor's farm to play with monkeys and other animals, then to West bay beach and swam. It was hot so this was a nice end to our day. We did cave tubing in Belize with Amphilife - Roger Espejo. We enjoyed that very much. There was just 10 of us on that tour and it was a great day. Our kids swam with dolphins in Cozumel at Chankanab Park and they loved it! Tons of people there and you can spend many hours there on beach too.

Overall I loved the cruise. The ship itself was just OK. We've sailed Explorer of Seas on RCCL and it is a much nicer ship, but I didn't let that spoil this cruise. When people complain about how you can't get from one end of the ship all the way thru to the other end, that's true and confusing at first, but you'll figure it out. They do try to sell lots of stuff, like spa treatments, bingo, jewelry, etc. But we did not succumb to any of it. Don't sweat the small stuff, just relax and enjoy your cruise. WE DID!
