My family and I recently cruised on Enchantment of the Seas for a mini-family reunion. There were 14 in all traveling from California, Nevada, and Texas. Travelers ranged in age from 20 months to 66 years. I cannot speak for my entire family so this review represents my experience and that of my boyfriend.

First, we booked our cruise through a travel agent but elected to set up our flights and hotel separate from RCI. Our cruise departed on Monday, July 7th but we arrived in Ft. Lauderdale early on July 6th...didn't want to take any chances with possible delays arriving on the day of embarkation.

Embarkation: We arrived at Port Everglades around 1pm, the time designated in our travel documents. Things went relatively smoothly. There was a little back-and-forth involved because my daughter was traveling in a separate stateroom so I had to be available for my own check-in as well as hers (at another window) with her grandmother. Given this slightly more complicated check-in, all went well and the process was quick. After getting on the ship we walked around briefly before heading to the Windjammer for lunch...it was a ZOO, very crowded!!! There were people everywhere. It was difficult to find an available table. It seems that everyone headed for the cafe as opposed to the pool, solarium or hanging out in their rooms.
