I recently shared a balcony stateroom on the Norwegian Sun with a friend. The cruise was a 7-day round-trip from Vancouver to Skagway, Alaska, with day stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, and of course Skagway itself.

This was my first real cruise, but my friend had previously cruised with NCL in Hawaii.

The check-in process was a bit confusing as 2000 passengers prepared to embark, but once we received our keycards and got onboard, everything went smoothly. We were very lucky and enjoyed warm sunny summer weather for most of the journey.
