It's always tough flying west to east...we departed IAD to BCN via Heathrow on BA. Everything on time, and excellent service. US airlines could take a lesson or two from European airlines.

Traveling were my wife and I and our two semi-grown children, 23 and 19. We stayed a night in Barcelona and boarded the ship the following day. Celebrity arranged flights and pre-cruise hotel and did a very nice job of it. It was effortless for us.

We were greeted at the airport by a Celebrity agent and taken to our hotel, the Apsis Atrium. It is an excellent hotel - small but nicely appointed room, and excellent service. After checking in, a tour was made available, which we took advantage of. If I had it to do over again, I'd have stayed two nights. Barcelona is an amazing city. One evening didn't do it justice.
