I can't believe I was on the same cruise that people have given such bad reviews and one person claimed "almost ruined their honeymoon". I don't know if I will travel with NCL anywhere else since there were more headaches than necessary, i know part of that was getting switched from the pride of aloha to this ship, but just in general if you had a question you often got the wrong information, their website is often down, and they aren't organized well from a customer service standpoint (poor training??) but once I actually got onto the ship everything is fabulous, NCl has an awesome itinerary, great crew and a good ship, it is hands down the best option out there and I would pick it again for hawaii. I would select another cruiseline if the itineraries were similar but i would not have wanted to lose a second of the shore time I had on this ship which you would have with any other cruiseline's itinerary. Ship Info- This is my fifth cruise with my fourth cruiseline and I found the ship on par with the other ship's I've been on. There was more to do on the royal caribbean new mega ship I went on but we were so busy I wouldn't have had time for it anyways. I thought everything seemed well kept up. The stateroom was like any other small but with ample storage so once everything was put away you were all set.
Activities/ entertainment- Not too much time for this, getting up early and having long days left me pretty much ready to relax then crash after dinner. It seemed like there was a nice assortment of activities when you figure they weren't at sea very long so there wasn't an "at sea" day in which to fill with activities.
Service- They have a lot of young crew who work really hard. I remember one day I was going to get ice and I saw the guy was wiping the area so I waited to let him finish, when he saw me he stopped and since I was waiting he asked if he could help me, i replied that i didn't want to get in his way and which point he replied that was the first time he'd heard that and he'd been on the cruise a long time. I think in general they have to deal with a lot of harsh people, expecting the royal treatment or something. the crew are human too, they can only do so much and I know they work a lot of hours, watch in the dining room when they are busy, they really hustle around, maybe there are a few exceptions but I was happy with the crew- they were genuinely nice, not somewhat fake, overly nice as on other cruises where they know you are tipping them so they need to smooze you.
