This was our first experience with Celebrity. I personally have been on approximately 40 cruises in my lifetime. We sailed a fantastic itinerary in the Mediterranean - one of the reasons we chose to sail on the 12-night Celebrity Summit.

I read many, many reviews online prior to our departure and understand Celebrity to be an "upscale" line, but we did not find a thing to differentiate it from our previous cruise experiences or from other cruise lines.

Embarkation was not what we imagined with an "upscale" cruise line. The embarkation facilities were sloppy, the person who checked us in was unable to speak English and had to appeal to her supervisor to assist us. She did not say "hello" nor did she say "thank you or have a good trip". Read more
