We read these reviews for weeks before leaving on our own vacation, so we thought we would share our experiences aboard the Carnival Liberty. My husband and I are in our late 30s and were "kinda" celebrating our 10th anniversary, but we brought our 6 year old as well. This was our 11th cruise. We've been on many cruise lines, including Carnival before.

We live in Florida, so air travel was not a problem. We arrived in Miami about a half hour before we were able to board (around 11:30). There were no real lines and we were able to sit and wait for them to call our letter so that we could go on the ship.

We had fun exploring the ship. It was beautiful. We especially liked the atrium with it's gorgeous chandelier and colored lights. We went up on deck and had our first of many "Captain Specials" and started to relax.
