Please enter your review. Here we go. Let me start by saying that this was a fantastic cruise for the two of us. I must admit I was a little worried by some of the reviews I read prior to our departure but honestly if was a great choice for us. We left at 4:00 AM driving to Port Canaveral. We live about 6 hours away and so decided to drive down the day of. We arrived in plenty of time....around 12:00. After parking ($60.00 for the duration), we decided to carry our luggage aboard ourselves. If you can do so, it makes it a lot easier. We noticed some people did not receive their luggage until after dinner. Embarkation was smooth....just make sure to have your ID ready. We were asked for it several times along with our funpass. Several reps were available to assist so the entire process took about 30 minutes. Be aware however that most cabins are not ready until 1:30.....we had lunch while we waited. Yummy hamburgers and hotdogs, great deli sandwiches, and fattening desserts. Once we finished, we went to our cabin...very clean and stocked with water, cokes, and travel items in the bathroom. The travel items were free, the drinks were not. We went up to the Lido deck and were waved to by friendly Floridians as we left. The Coast Guard followed us to ensure we had a safe departure and then the fun began. 15 minute life jacket drill....doesn't last long at all. We then began to explore the ship. I must say that we saw people constantly cleaning the public restrooms, tables, and elevators. Once or twice around the ship and we had it down. Lots of purple and lights but we thought it was kind of cool. After exploring the ship, we got ready for dinner. The water in the shower is extremely hot....be careful. Our dining room staff was amazing! Christin (from Romania) and Edgar (from the Philippines)were attentive and friendly and always had fun tricks and stories to share. After the first night, Edgar always addressed us by name and Christian always joked with us as he took our orders. The first night we had steaks. I ordered my steak well done, but received it medium rare. Christian immediately placed my order again and within about ten minutes I had my steak cooked to order. The steaks were good, the mac & cheese was delicious, and green peas had a bit too much onion for my taste. Overall it was a nice meal and the chocolate melting cake was gooey and delicious. When we returned, we had a cute little towel animal (seal) and our carnival caper that told us all about Freeport on our bed. The bed was also turned back with little chocolates placed on our pillow....very nice. This trend continued nightly with towel animals that consisted of a rabbit, an elephant, and on our last night a huge heart. Our cabin steward (Tirso) was very efficient and friendly. I don't know if it was luck or what, but we definitely had the best people assigned to help us during our cruise. Okay, I'm getting long winded so let me try to finish up. Formal night was Monday....lobster and shrimp...tasty but the lobster was small. Great salmon and roasted chicken. All of the food in the dining room was really good. We also ate breakfast in the dining room and it was good too. Freeport was kinda hit or miss. Port Lucaya was nice, but the taxi drivers drive much too fast....fasten your seatbelts. The vendors really want your business so be prepared. The beach was nice and the water was beautiful. You will recognize several restaurants and bottled water was only 1.25 or 1.50. The cost of the taxi was 10.00 roundtrip. We took a guided tour of Nassau and really enjoyed that. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and also showed us from a distance, some celebrity homes (Michael Jordan, Oprah, Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan). He also showed us where the tragedy of Anna Nicole Smith and her son Daniel occurred, as well as where her baby girl was born. Atlantis was gorgeous but terribly expensive. If an order of pancakes cost 21.00, we felt certain we could not afford to stay....nice aquarium, and beach that fed into the Atlantic. Back on the ship, I got a little dizzy on our day at sea....won 300.00 in the casino, and enjoyed the two shows we attended. Debarkation took a little more than an hour..we were #20 out of 26. We would rate our vacation a 9 out of 10...I hope if you are planning on going, that you will enjoy it as much as we did!

Cabin Review

Roomy cabin, nice ocean view. I could hear through the walls occasionally so be careful!
