The cabin and the crew. The cabin was compact as you should expect on a ship but clean and comfortable. THe cabin people were great always there with a SMILE and a great attitude to help or serve. THe waiter in the formal dinning room "Normandie" his name was Yun and he made all the difference in our dinning experience, especially since we had the worst table in the whole room. Table #195 squeezed inbetween a large column and a partition with a five foot ceiling , compared to the group tables with a ceiling to the second floor. Our table mates were our age and one their Honeymoon, ( Jim and Vicki) couldn't find any nicer two people :-) THe crew in the day spa need to go back to Carnival camp 101 and learn to treat $$paying customers alot better$$ Remember anything in the Spa is extra $$. The shower in the spa was "GREAT" a shower head from the top and the sides, it made for a wonderful showering experience. Our excursions. We had read alot of reviews and this time, (which was our second) we decided to taxi ourselves. Puerto Vallarta, we taxied to Senor Frogs and walked around the town. Mazatlan we taxied $40 for two, for over and hour through the down town near the old church, our guide narrated the whole way, pointing out the sights. The open taxi was a great way to smell the ocean air and keep cool. We went to the "Golden District" I received a free charm at every port for my bracelet :-) and we ate at Ponchos and had some long overdue mexican food. Food on the ship was plentiful and free and was made in large quantities so it was okay!!! We didn't eat at the supper club which is an additional charge. Would I do it again?? Yes, you bet you have everything you need in one place and with the price of gas it was well worth it, Casino, Karaoke, comedy and shows bingo or you can just lay in your room and watch t.v. Oh if I could have my way (remember I'm a mother of three) a cruise without kids, maybe just 18 and over, and not the Spring Break crowd just adults with respect for each other would be a dream come true.
