This was the second cruise on RCCL for my husband and me (our 5th overall). Having cruised on Splendor the last time, we were thrilled with the size of the ship and the many activities and amenities that were offered. Our cabin was a Junior Suite and it was significantly bigger than our junior suite on Splendor. It had a walk-in closet and large balcony. The bathroom was good size and it had a bathtub. We would definitely consider this size cabin again!

Our cabin attendant was good. Everything was taken care of and any requests we made we accommodated. For the dining room, we were seated at a table of 8 and having enjoyed a large table so much last time, we were pleased to see that we were seated there. Our dining time was 8:30 and this worked really well for us. For dinner on the first night, we were shocked to find that we (married couple in our early 30s with no kids) were seated with a family with 2 kids and an elderly couple. Very strange! We ended up getting along great and really enjoying our dinners, but it does seem that RCCL could do a better job of matching. I'm sure the children at our table were bored with no other children seated with us. Our dining room service was just OK. The waiter for our table often seemed too busy to be attentive and the assistant waiter was new and of little help. Very often they would forget a drink order or request for a substitution on the menu. The head waiter came around occasionally, but seemed to be doing the minimum for tips. From our trip less than two years ago, it does seem that the food quality has gone down quite a bit. There seemed to be less choices and even on the formal nights, the food wasn't "special". I think we may consider a different cruise line next time purely for an improvement in the food. We ate in the Windjammer for lunch occasionally and it seemed fine. We usually ordered room service for breakfast since our tours left so early in the am, but beware that the time you select may not always be accurate. We had food arrive as much as 25 minutes early and as much as 15 minutes late.

The ports on this cruise are FANTASTIC! It's a very port intensive cruise and although we were exhausted, we had a wonderful time!
