Sail Date: May 2008

My wife and I cruised the Inside Passage in Alaska from May 21, 2008 to May 28th, 2008 on the Carnival Spirit and found the natural beauty of Alaska breathtaking, but the Carnival cruise line and the service on the ship have lots of opportunities for improvement.

We booked an all inclusive trip including air travel through Carnival and even though we pointed out through our travel agent that the flight connections were too close together (35 minutes in Atlanta and 25 minutes in Salt Lake City -they had to hold the plane for us in SLC), Carnival insisted that the connections were just fine. Obviously their reservation clerks have never changed planes in Atlanta!

By the time we got to Vancouver, B.C. my nerves were shot and then because of Carnival's mistake in writing down my wife's birthdate, we had to stand in a 700 person customs line for 1 1/2 hours. By this time I (we) weren't having very much fun.

Cabin Review

The cabin was very nice and the cabin steward was excellent. The accommodations were not large, but it was nicely appointed and comfortable.
