Let me begin by saying that this was the 3rd cruise for both my husband and I with Carnival; however, I will say that maybe the next cruise will be with another cruise line for the following reasons:

We began our trip flying on US Air which I booked through Carnival. We were originally supposed to fly from Raleigh-Durham to Philadelphia; however, Carnival only gave us 50 minutes to get from Terminal A in Philly to Terminal F - not enough time to make our flight. I pointed this out to Carnival several times but they either would not/could not change the reservation to two earlier times and eventually told me to "just go to the airport and see if you can go standby" - (and this was for two first-class ticket carriers!!! We ended up doing just that and made our flight well ahead of time. We also learned that you have to take a shuttle from Terminal A to Terminal F and we would NOT have made our flight.

After arriving in Rome the following morning we began the most confusing luggage mess I have ever seen in my life. We had Carnival employees yelling in not very good English to place our bags in an area that had no security and made you feel that you might or might not get your bag when you reached the ship. In addition, we were to take the "Rome at a Glance" tour and the line for that lasted for at least two hours before we finally boarded the bus. Carnival needs to do something about this as there were a lot of handicapped people who had to wait with nowhere to sit and get comfortable.
