One week prior to departure, I got cleared for the cruise. After finding a willing and able friend to join me on the cruise we scurried to take care of last minute daycare issues and to rearrange our schedules. Luckily we have passports and are able to pull a trip together at short notice (as well as accommodating husbands.) I found a roundtrip air ticket for $1,200 to travel from Southern California to Copenhagen. The Copenhagen airport is very nice, modern and orderly.
