My first impression upon seeing the Liberty was it was hugh and I am going to get lost.....a lot. We were really surprised when the travel agent had put my husband and I on the panorama deck. Previously we had been in the lower levels so this was really nice. Also we had a inside cabin. I thought I would miss a window since on the previous cruises we did oceanview.Actully liked there inside better since it made it dark on the days we wanted to sleep in. The dinning room experience was great as always with Carnival. We had the early sitting and discovered it was alllll the way on the other end of the ship and down five levels. So we laughed about losing weight from all the walking to the dinning room and then back to change cloths afterwards. The staff in the dinning room are great to deal with. They greeted everyone by name and always had a smile. The food was good. They had a problem getting my husband's steak right but that is nothing new since he likes it very very rare.(Like a good vet could almost save it...) The ship itself is just amazing to look at and it showed a lot of detail work. There are several bronze statues , glass tile and amazing pictures everywhere. We actually spent a great deal of time just wondering around the ship itself. We actually brought two way radios which made keeping track of each other a whole lot easier. The musicians were really great. There was a great sounding duet in the main lobby.A solo guitar player in by the casino that we listed to every night. As well as a small band that played in the back of the ship. Nothing was funnier than a bunch of people trying to remember how to do the dance to YMCA after midnight. We did catch some of the movies on the big screen. Made it nice at night for the ones with kids. My only complaint is if you are going to all the trouble of doing movies....do you really have to charge for popcorn??Maybe having someone with some light blankets out there would also be a nice touch for the colder evening. Our only shore excursion were just walking around in all the ports.Loved Key West.If you missed anything packing now is the time to get it.There is a small drug store close to port. Had a great time at Grand Cayman. The people are really friendly and the stores are amazing.Margareta Ville was a blast. if you get a bracelet there...you bring it to Ocho Rios store for a free drink. Have to say Ocho Rios was my least favorite. Seemed like you were dropped off in the wrong part of town.So be very careful off ship.Lost track how many people asked to braid my hair.... Also had several people come back talking about Dunn's Falls. It is not as easy to climb as they make it out to be. Plus they don't tell you not to bring little kids or not to attempt to do it if you have bad knees. Departing was a lot easier in port. They have gone to a number system for the luggage. Makes it a whole lot easier that trying to remember what color you had on the tags. Great value for the money and we already have another carnival cruise booked.

I like the fact this ship has more bathroom shelf in it.As well as a small shelf in the shower for stuff.....Now if they only put a seat in there..making shaving the legs a whole lot safer. Can they pad the walls alittle better too...had newlyweds next door.....glad I didn't have kids in the room.
