My husband and I (both a very young 60!) traveled to Tampa a few days early which meant we had to drop our rental car at the Tampa airport for a shuttle to the ship. This went without a hitch! We were extremely impressed by the Carnival personnel handling this service.

We arrived at the ship about 1 p.m. and after a very quick and friendly processing, we were on deck by about 1:40. We headed straight for our room. We had booked an extended balcony this time and when we saw it, we were so glad we did. The extra room made a difference and we enjoyed it throughout the cruise. The rooms are well designed with lots of closet space and bathroom shelves for all our "stuff." Our room steward was terrific. He quickly learned our schedule and chose those moments to get in and tidy our room. It was quite amazing. Our next stop was to make reservations at the Supper Club for two nights. We loved it! We both love to dance and the twosome playing were just great. It is well worth the money spent.

I had been on The Legend before but my husband had not. I knew he would like it and I was right. The layout of the ship is easy to learn. Much easier than the Destiny which we sailed a few years ago. The interior depends on one's taste. I don't mind it but I know some do. My feeling is who cares when you are having so much fun!
