My husband (28), myself (26), and my parents (53 and 54) booked this cruise as a celebration of my recent graduation from med school. None of us had ever cruised before.
Embarkation- Went fairly smoothly. We got to the port around 11:00. It took about an hour to get on the ship. We were able to drop off our stuff in our room before going to the Lido deck for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Our luggage arrived in the early afternoon.
Room- I was impressed with the room- it was much larger than I thought it would be. We had an obstructed view. Although there was a lifeboat directly outside we could still see around it. The bathroom was small, but with a large vanity area in the room, it didn't matter that much. Our room steward was decent- although he didn't seem to learn when we were going to dinner- several times our room wasn't finished by the time we got back. But overall I wasn't displeased with the service. Room service was rather slow. I would recommend ordering it to be delivered slightly before when you actually want it.
