We are just back (today!) from our cruise on the Caribbean Princess 9 days out of Brooklyn, NY. My DH and I were travelling with our DS and DIL and DD and fiance'. My husband and I have been on many cruises including 2X on Princess so we have many other ships to compare this trip to. We arrived at the Brooklyn Pier last Saturday at 1 p.m. and since we live on Long Island (approximately 1 hour drive), we had the limo pick us up at 11:30 a.m. The embarkation line was quite long but the line moved and we were in our cabin by 1:45. This review ran a little long but I wanted to cover as much as possible.

Weather all week - BEAUTIFUL. Little rain in PR but other than that.....

Accommodations - We booked a mini-suite for ourselves (Dolphin deck) and 2 outside cabins (Emerald deck) for our kids. Our cabin was very nice. We were met right away by our room steward, Roge, who asked if there was anything in particular that we needed. We asked him to remove the comforter and keep it off (I don't like that on the bed!), ice bucket kept filled, robe for DH, egg crate mattress pad and extra glasses for our kids when they stopped by for a drink. Those things were delivered and our room was kept immaculate for our entire stay. I'm not sure if we had a new mattress - but the bed was very comfortable (I love falling asleep to the rocking of the boat). The kids also loved their beds. My DD also asked for feather pillows and found them to be extremely comfortable. We immediately began exploring the ship. It is huge but pretty easy to navigate.
