After never being familiar with cruising before or ever thought I would go on one soon, my first cruising experience on the Enchantment definitely changed how I think. Now, I'm already planning my next cruise but unfortunately, don't think it will be with Royal Caribbean, which is too bad because they seem like a great line to cruise with.
The embarkation was pretty easy at Ft. Lauderdale, especially since we live in Broward county, so that made travelling much easier. The getting-on-the-ship process wasn't too complicated, even for a first timer. The port of Ft. Lauderdale, like I'm sure many others have noticed, is not exactly postcard-worthy: it's located in a factory-like environment and only do you get some views of the coast as your leaving.
Once I was onboard, I was super excited just to be there- my sister had cruised before and that's how I was introduced to it, so maybe for her the first time being inside a cruise ship wasn't as exciting as it was for me. But, personally, I thought the ship was beautiful. Looking at my sister's past cruise with Carnival, I was constantly comparing that ship to this one, and throughout and afterwards, she has said that RCL ships are much more subdued, a bit more elegant, not with as many neon-lights and bright colors, but more refined, even on RCL. So, the Enchantment did not disappoint.
Good space for an interior, poor Tv positioning, great beds, very small bathroom, always was confused about which way to go to find it from the elevator!
