Cruised with the mouse last year and thought we would try a different cruise line to compare. Much more satisfied with service and food on Royal Caribbean. This is our second cruise. On cruise with DH and sons, 19 and 21. We flew into Orlando from Chicago and had a private car take us to Cocoa Beach Sheraton. Really enjoyed staying at this hotel because it is close to what has become one of our favorite restaurants - Florida Seafood House. Plus it is only a couple of blocks from the beach. Walked with DH to get a drink on the pier.

Embarkation was fast and painless. Knowing we would have an opportunity to eat once we were on the ship, we didn't eat much breakfast. Once we were on the ship, we went to the Windjammer for lunch. The place was packed! When we finally found a table, it could accommodate more than just the 4 of us. Upon seeing a couple in distress trying to find a table, we asked them if they would like to join us. We ate breakfast and lunch at the Windjammer every day. Take the food for what it is, buffet food. Every day they offered the fixings for a greek salad that I never got tired of eating. The dinners were very good. DH and I were happy that there are healthful and vegetarian choices on the menu as well as food that our sons would like. Our table mates were charming, funny and interesting people. We were fortunate to be able to sit with them. Also, our waiters were good. Our assistant waiter was new. Our table was aware of that and understood his mistakes. He was trying really hard.

Our staterooms - Balconies on the 7th floor. The accommodations were great and our room steward was amazing (Husin). We would occasionally see him in the hall and he always greeted us by name. How does he do that with all the people he meets every week?
