Being only a second time cruiser its hard to make a comparison (first cruise was on the NCL Majesty of the Seas - Boston to Bermuda), but I have nothing but favorable comments for this ship. We were on the 7-day Eastern Caribbean April 10-17.

My wife and I with our two daughters, ages 22 & 24, with a boy friend, we flew in from Albany NY to Fort Lauderdale on US airways. Our flight was an hour late due to a closed runway in Philly, so we touched down at 2:30 pm and we arrived at the cruise terminal in Miami at 3:30 pm. We paid for the cruise transportation to the Port ($28 one way PP) and were greeted at the airport by a gentleman holding a Liberty of the Seas sign and he directed us to the bus when it arrived. Note that if you had packed a carry-on with swim suits or a change of clothing remember to carry it into the cruise terminal yourself or you won't get it until your bags are delivered to your rooms. The bus ride in from Ft. Lauderdale airport took about 45 minutes.

There were very short lines at the terminal and we were on board at 4:30 pm just in time for the muster drill. After the muster we were starved and headed upstairs to the Windjammer buffet only to be told that it closed after the muster so the only place we could find food was at the Promenade Cafe (open 24-hours) for small sandwiches on croissants and coffee and dessert selections, we hadn't found the Sorrento's pizza located at the other end of the Promenade which offers panini sandwiches made to order, salads, anti-pastas and pizzas, all free of course.
