Sail Date: May 2008
Cabin: Family Penthouse with Balcony
Traveled with children

Traveled with a family group of toddlers to retirees. All of the group were given VIP treatment which was wonderful as we had only one Penthouse suite, the rest were suites. Our cabins were ready when we boarded.

This was my first NCL experience and 5th cruise. I have traveled with Cunard, HAL and the Renaissance line that is no longer in business. Freestyle has it advantages for groups such as ours but only when we were able to make reservations for the evening meals.

Restaurant service was poor to fine depending on the waiters but the food was just acceptable not great. I much prefer having the same table and waiters. Lunch in the Blue Lagoon was very limited and the same menu on both days I ate there. The buffet was always crowded and tables were impossible to find food always the same, so we ordered room service for breakfast most days.

Cabin Review

Family Penthouse with Balcony

The Penthouse Suite is a good size but the kid's room would be very crowded for more than two. Our cabins stewards didn't provide much service, we had to ask for clean towels and ice.
