All of the reviews I had read were so helpful in planning for my vacation so I guess this review is kind of like "paying it forward". I sailed on the Destiny 5/11/08-5/18/08 with my parents and my sister. I am going to stick with the format of most of the reviews, it seems like it was easy to follow for me.

BOAT: you can tell that the Destiny is older than some of the other Carnival ships I have been on but our room was clean and everything worked! My only complaint is that there was no refridge in the room, which could have come in handy, but from other reviews I knew this was the case. The ship WAS VERY ROCKY, and we had incredibly nice weather the entire cruise. I never get sea sick so this was not a problem for me, but I did feel it. I think the constant rockiness actually enhanced my perpetual buzz I had from drinking so much! So if you get sea sick at all, come prepared!

EMBARKATION: I flew from DC Reagan Sunday morning at 730 am on Spirit airlines and got to San Juan, no delays at 3 pm. I got my luggage and got a cab for my family (4 people, 4 bags, 21.50 total). We had VIP check-in but there was no lines at all to get on the ship, so I think VIP was actually slower!
