Sail Date: April 2008
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

Arrived at Ft. Lauderdale airport and used the Carnival Transfer, this made traveling to the Miami port easier. Embarkation went pretty smoothly, lines were long, but we were through within an hour. We were able to go directly to our rooms to drop off our carry on and then straight to the Lido deck for lunch.

We had early sitting for the dining room. It was a table for four, which was nice. Our wait staff was excellent. They remembered what we ordered from the previous nights and had our drinks waiting for us. If my kids tried something that did not like, they quickly ordered something different for them. We ate all of our dinners and most of our lunches in the main dining room.

Lido deck food was okay, but I preferred the service of the dining room. Kids loved the Pizzeria and it was convenient get a slice of pizza at 1:00am.

Enjoyed the shows in the Rome Lounge, the best though had to be the Newlywed not so Newlywed game. This is played with some of the More passengers and it was very funny!

Walking by the casino area to get to the arcade was very smoky. Also, it was extremely crowded when looking at photos and paying for them. Played Bingo twice and won once, that made the trip even better.

Did not shop much onboard, but had to purchase the Triumph Christmas ornament.

Club Co2 - My daughter loved it. But, mostly it was a place to meet kids her own age. If they did not like what was going on, a group of them would meet up on another part of the ship to do something else. Circle C - My son loved this after he made some friends, but I wish the counselors would get more involved to get the kids to interact more with each other. My son is on the shy side and it took a lot of effort on his part for him to introduce himself to others.

San Juan - arrived at 5:00pm too late to really do anything. We did do some shopping.

St Thomas - this was a beautiful island. We did some shopping and then had our first excursion. Parasailing....LOVED IT!

Grand Turk - did some snorkeling and then went to a cove to swim with the sting rays. The kids thought this was the best part of the trip. They loved interacting with the string rays and even giving them a kiss. Next we went to Margaritaville for lunch. It was pricey, but the entertainment was great. The DJ loved to get the customers involved.

Disembarking went smoothly, when they call your number you go down to the Rome lounge and wait to disembark the ship. We used Carnival transfer to get back to the airport.

Loved the trip so much we are now booked for another Carnival cruise in April 2009. Less
