Ship Facts: Norwegian Spirit Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Norwegian Spirit Deck Plans
Relaxing enjoyable vacation
We arrived in NY around 10:30 (I know early) we got a couple of chairs by the window until they announced we could wait in line. Probably waited close to an hour. Went through security and then to the corkage fee table. Got #4 card and went straight to check in. Waited until they called #4 to board which was around 12:45. Loved the decor of the ship. We went to Windows for lunch and I agree all their chilled soups are spectacular. After lunch we went to the Kids Crew to register our 2 4 yr olds then went to the room to unpack. Plenty of drawers and shelves in the closet. All 3 pieces of our luggage fit the closet. We brought suction cup hooks that were very helpful for hanging back backs, purses, sweaters, etc.

The room steward was great. Always helpful and greeted with a smile. Had towel animals every other night. (new policy) Cleaned in a timely manner.

We ate in Windows alot, but also ate in Le Bistro, Sushi, La Trattoria and the buffet. We enjoyed the food and service in all the venues. Service was exceptional. We saw all but the first night show and were entertained by all. Especially enjoyed the magician and comedian. I guess we are easily entertained:-)

In San Juan we took a taxi (for $15) to El Moro and walked around and took pictures and then from there took the trolly back to the ship.

In Tortola we took a taxi for $32 to Long Bay Beach. Chaise lounges for free on the beach. Great beach but rocky if you are not directly in front of the hotel. We had a beer and lunch there for $28. Same taxi driver came back and picked us up and stopped at several places for us to take pictures. We gave him $45 for the ride back and he tried to get more but that was the limited. We thought it was more than fare.

In Samana we did the Cayo excursion and I am so glad we did. Beautiful beach, clean, warm blue waters. We had lunch and drinks there even the drinks in the coconuts and we did not get sick. Daughter got here hair braided and we bought a few things from the vendors. Nice friendly people. Would go again in a heartbeat.

The kids loved the kids crew and the staff was wonderful with the kids. Always something new to look forward too and a nice break for us.

All in all it was very relaxing. We weren't looking for a lot of entertainment just laying out in the sun listening to the music and reading a good book was good enough for us. We loved it so much we ended up purchasing the $250.00 certificate good towards the deposit on your next cruise.

We like the concept of freestyle it just really worked for us and our family.
