Please enter your review. Originally planned over the New Year's holiday while visiting friends in Vancouver, we chose the 6 day repositioning cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver onboard Golden Princess. The question was raised as to whether we should go with a balcony or because of the cooler time of the year an Ocean View or Inside cabin. We opted for a BA Cabin on Lido deck (L230) forward on the port side.

Our travels originated in Calgary where we flew to Vancouver on Westjet then Air Canada from Vancouver to Los Angeles. All flights were on time, no problems with either airline,no lost baggage and excellent inflight service. (Note Westjet charges you $5 for a headset but you can use it forever, and drinks on WSesyttjet are only $5, one dollar less than Air Canada), Clearing US Immigration at Vancouver was very fast and Homeland Security folks were very polite and friendly.

For the past several years we have used the Crowne Plaza at LAX for all our LA overniters, and this trip was no exception. We have returned to Crowne Plaza because of the proximity to the airport, the comfort of the rooms and the excellent service in the lounge and dining rooms. The personal recognition by the concierge (Paulo)is welcoming and comforting on a return to the hotel. "Welcome back Mr Smart. How was your last holiday to Mexico?" was a warm welcoming way to start the holiday.
