Hubby and I (mid 60's) sailed 4/26 - 5/3. Prev sailed Diamond 2X, Sapphire 1X, Grand 1X, and Dawn 1X. This was our best experience of our 5 previous Princess cruises. Arrived at port 12:30pm and was on board by 1:15 -- great to use the Platinum preferred line but did note there were no more than about 25 people in the regular line.

First time in a mini-suite (Emerald Deck w/covered balcony) -- just like going from outside view to balcony, you don't want to go back. Same with the mini-suite -- loved having the extra sitting area and especially the HUGE shower, worth it for the shower/bathroom alone. As we had done this itinerary three times previous, this was solely for R&R. Spent many hours on our balcony just soaking up the sights, sounds, and sun. Even though we had a completely covered balcony, we had enough sun (somedays even too much)!

Won't get into any excursions as been there/done that before. This trip we made the "ship our destination". I can't believe the attitude of the staff -- everyone was very friendly, helpful and always smiling and created an atmosphere of "glad you are here"! I thought maybe since this was the last trip prior to heading north there might be some crew problems but did not encounter anything of the sort. Our room steward, Cyrus, was always very friendly and kept our cabin/bathroom spotless. We always had ice in the bucket and requested two wine glasses up front and he always made sure we had them from then on.
