Emerald Princess 16-day Transatlantic and Europe, April, 2008

Well, as promised, I am finally able to report on Princess Cruises transatlantic and Europe on Emerald Princess (April 14-30, 2008). Having cruised on most other cruise lines in the past, and thinking the smaller, luxury lines were preferred, this was my first experience with Princess. I have to admit this was one of the best cruises I took. It was only by accident that I found this cruise a few days before it sailed, primarily because Oceania and Silver Sea were already booked. I was scared this cruise, with its 2500-3000 passengers would be crowded, but at no time did it feel this way.

Embarkation Embarkation was a breeze. I highly recommend spending the $10/person transport from the airport to the ship because your luggage will automatically be taken to your cabin. All you have to do is check in, much like a hotel, and go enjoy yourself on the ship. In less than an hour our luggage was delivered to our room.
