My husband and I traveled with 5 other adults, all in our late 40's, one 13 year old boy and three 18 year old seniors in high school. We wanted to do something special for their last year vacationing with us. This was our second cruise, the first one was 27 years ago on Carnival. I was a little worried that the 18 year olds would be board. They are too old for the teen club but not old enough for the night time entertainment and in the reviews I didn't see anyone traveling with 18 years old. But they kept so busy we never saw them except for dinner every night and when we went ashore.

My husband, our 18 year old daughter and I drove down on Friday from New York. We stayed at the Radisson by the port. The hotel was a good deal for the price. The pool was very nice and the buffet in the morning was really good. The rooms were a little old and worn but the free shuttle service was well worth it. The hotel and shuttle staff were very friendly, organized and helpful. One hint if you need to get the free shuttle to the ship you should call the hotel before you arrive to make reservations. We made our reservation when we checked in and the 11:30am shuttle was full. The next shuttle wasn't available until 12:30pm.

Check In: When we arrived at the port there was a really long line to check in. Having read all the reviews I knew to go to the left side of the building. This is the shorter line. You have to look around but believe me it's there. The process moved quickly and we were on the ship by 1:30pm.
