This past February 25th myself and 11 of my friends and family went on the Inspiration for a 5 night voyage to Grand Cayman and Cozumel Mexico. This was my 7th cruise everyone else ranged from newbie to a few under their belt. Everyone met at my house Sunday night being I live in Tallahassee Florida, since most of the others live in Memphis,TN. Sunday night we decided to go and eat at the Mexican restaurant to get us in the vacation mood. Monday we woke up at 6am to start driving down to Tampa. It is only a 3 ½ hour drive but it seemed to be 10 hours being I was so anxious to get on board. We arrived at 12pm and they had not started to let people board yet due to the ship coming in late due to fog. The lines were really long but actually moved fast. Once we got on board we had to get our dining changed because they had all of us at different tables and at different times, but that was a quick fix. Finally with everything taken care of and some food in the belly it was time to start having a few drinks, We were in with a group from Georgia (the dawg house) so we got the drink card so ALLLL our drinks were free. which with them being free turned into a whole lot of drinks and being really drunk. Needless to say I didn't make it to dinner that night. The next day was a sea day and I slept in till about 11am, didn't do to much lost some money at the casino and watched some of the festivities by the pool. That night more drinking and some karaoke then some pizza and then off to bed, we had to wake up early for Grand Cayman. We booked a waverunner excursion through a private tour, we went to stingray city and then went snorkeling, this was a great excursion. We went to margaritaville to eat some over priced food, but hey I was on vacation. Went back to the boat and we booked a 4 wheeler excursion in Cozumel. The next morning we went to meet for the excursion and one person in my group left there drivers license in the room so he had to go back to get it meanwhile another ship was docking so they would not let him off the boat until it was secure. So we missed the 9am tour but luckily they moved us to the 11am tour. This excursion was ok, but nothing to write home about. It was very very bumpy and dirty, so if you go, wear clothes that you don't care if the get messed up. We rode the bumpy roads for a while seen a sink hole and went into a cave. Not that exciting, afterwards we went to a beach. This was a nice place, they gave us 1 free drink and free snorkeling free use of the pool, and we ate there and this was the best shrimp fajitas I have ever had. After having a lot of drinks here we decided to go back to the boat, we went to the new slides and drank and played as if we were kids again. After a while we went back to the room and cleaned up to get ready for dinner. After dinner it was off to karaoke and the disco, this was the best night we had on the boat. The next day the wife and I went to the spa and done the couples massage, this was really great, expensive but great. After that we went to the casino and donated some more money on blackjack, which I will never play on a cruise again, how many time can 1 person get 12 in a row while the dealer always gets 20 or 21, I always have good luck atTunica and Biloxi, but this my friend was ridiculous, they didn't even want to make it fun for you to sit at the table longer. Anyway the next day we got up done the self debarking and my cruise that I had planned for a year was gone. I hope some of you enjoyed my review of the MS Inspiration. This is a great boat and I would recommend it to everyone that is thinking about booking her.
